With the Pre-Gauntlet in Diablo 4 Season 3 just around the corner, it's important to know where your gear is at. ↖ S-Tier: The Unstoppable Charge

Leading the pack is the Charge build. Fast and with no cooldown thanks to the Marshall glyph, this build boasts a staggering 600 million damage crits. To make matters worse (or better depending on who you ask), when paired with Leap it becomes a symphony of speed, damage and survivability. However its power may be one day brought into balance with others so enjoy its dominance while you can.

↖ A-Tier: The Versatile Vanguard

One step behind but not by much are the Hammer of the Ancients Charge builds. While Whirlwind excels in single-target boss encounters it falls short compared to these A-tier builds which offer both speed and versatility:

1. Upheaval + Charge: It offers area control and mobility all wrapped up into one powerful package.

2. Double Swing + Charge: For those who like rhythmic playstyles with consistent damage output.

3. Death Blow + Charge: Held back by favoring core skills over potential.

↖ B-Tier: Bleed Builds and Beyond

Falling into B-tier are bleed builds — not due to being underpowered but instead because they're outshined by their instant high-damage alternatives. Rend, Rupture even Whirlwind struggle to keep up with them but that doesn't mean that there isn't fun or enjoyment to be found in taking your time playing a Bloody Mary.

If you're looking to fine-tune the build that's right for you, community mainstays like Beat Dropper and Slothmas have been invaluable. They've provided a wealth of information and tested strategies that anyone is welcome to use in order to maximize their Barbarian's potential.
