Begin by fast traveling to Jirandai and exit upwards towards the top left corner. Once outside, sweep every area for Cinders.

↖ Navigating the Events

As you progress, several events will present themselves. While it may seem appealing to participate in everything, not all are worth your time. So focus only on those with a high Cinder yield.

• Waves of Darkness: With strong AoE skills and better armor, surpass 20 waves for over a hundred Cinders.
• Wayward Soul: Protect the spirit from enemies within the orange circle for yet another batch of Cinders.
• Webbed Hatchery: Prevent monsters from reaching the central elite.
• Jar of Souls: Wait until last second before clearing everything out so that more monsters are spawned for an even more valuable event.

↖ Optimizing the Route

After completing first event, rush north as quickly as possible to engage or skip over second depending on its value. From here weave down south without leaving any areas unexplored before circling back up and westward at bottom edge. Skip any low Cinder events that will just slow down your run.

Following this path should give you about 550 Cinders by the end if done right. If you're short then head northwest to third event surrounded by enemies.

Console players can use a second character to double their Cinders easily. After obtaining enough with your main character simply exit game and re-enter in cleared area to safely transfer them across map.

↖ Region Progress

As adventurers wander through the desert of the Dry Steppes, they do a lot of business which leads them to Renown Points. These numbers mark their progress in the region. When they reach certain quantities of Renown, they're given rewards that make their journey easier. This includes things like earning more diablo 4 gold, more experience points and Skill Points. Each checkpoint is a big increase in an adventurer's capabilities, rewarding them for spending so much time in the Dry Steppes.

Once you have your 550 Cinders, go on and unlock both Living Steel Chests. If you have a second character that can do this as well then repeat process for more rewards.
